Juxtaposed Before And After Work From Granite Transformations

Granite Overlay Installation: A Day in the Life

A harrowing, time-devouring experience? No. A quick, kitchen coddling exercise in rapid turnaround with beautiful results? Yes! Granite overlay installation is the quick way to give your countertops a fresh new look without all of the demolition, hassle, or home disruption. In only a couple of days from deciding that granite overlays are for you, a beautiful new kitchen can be utilized to its full potential. Allow me to walk you through the process…

It all begins when you wake up in the morning, walk to the kitchen, and realize that your current countertops simply won’t do. They have to go! After some soul-searching you may have found yourself deciding on new granite countertop overlays , rather than a much costlier replacement. The next step is contacting the company, hopefully Granite Transformations, and informing them of the scale (kitchen, bathroom, fireplace, foyer, etc) and your desired color. They’ll counter with a ‘Sounds great! See you soon!’

They're ready to go at a calls notice.

They’re ready to go at a call’s notice.

Your trusty Granite Transformations installation specialist will come to your home when you have requested to take measurements, survey the space in which he or she will be working, and answer any questions about the process you may have. How long will this take? What if I don’t like it? Is it as sturdy as granite slabs?

No time at all. Yes. And, yes.

Once you’re done shooting the breeze with one of our installation experts you can rest assured than the next time you see them it won’t be for a lengthy meeting.

While you’re probably pleased with the ease at which the first meeting with your installation expert went, enjoying a cocktail or perhaps kicking back and lounging in your living room, our installation specialist is back in the shop fabricating your granite overlay so that all of the messy stuff takes place on our end and not in your home.

The overlay is thin, but incredibly strong and durable.

The overlay is thin, but incredibly strong and durable.

The installation expert returns in a day, or whenever you’ve requested, toting your overlay of choice and the necessary tools. Be sure to offer a glass of water (installation experts are a thirsty breed) and simply sit back and watch the magic unfold.  It won’t take long, so be careful not to miss it.

Our expert brings the perfectly measured and cut overlay over to your countertop just to make sure it fits. After confirming that the overlay is ready for installation, a permanent bond is applied to your present countertop. Kiss it goodbye while you have the chance, it’ll be the last time you see it. Our technician will then carefully lay the countertop in place, making sure that no nicks or scratches to the walls or cabinets take place, and ensure that the bonding has reacted. Once a polish is applied to the countertop, voila! You’ve got new kitchen countertops in no time at all.

So now that you have gorgeous new countertops just begging to have food prepared on them, be eaten off of, or have food served on them, you can stop and think: I called Granite Transformations on Monday and I have beautiful new countertops on Friday. A quick turnaround, indeed.

Can you please let me know if your product can be installed over a countertop which is covered with 4″ x 4″ tiles with grouting between with a edge of curved tiles to prevent dripping. We are concerned the grouting is very unhygenic.
    Much appreciate your resply. Thanks

      Marg,

There shouldn’t be a problem at all with that, as the overlays are secured rather tightly and don’t allow materials to fester underneath. If you let me know which franchise is located closest to you I could connect you with them to discuss the options.
